Our Policies

At Millers Plumbing & Heating, we are committed to providing exceptional service with honesty, transparency, and professionalism. To ensure a smooth and positive experience for every customer, we have established the following policies. Please take a moment to review them — they outline how we work and what you can expect from us.

Service Agreement & Scope of Work

  • Work begins only after you approve the estimate or service agreement.

  • The scope covers only items listed in the approved estimate. Additional work requires a new estimate or change order.

  • Emergency services (after-hours/weekends/holidays) may not include a detailed estimate beforehand but pricing will be clearly explained.

Estimates & Pricing

  • All estimates carry a $95 fee to cover the technician’s time and detailed assessment of your project or repair.

  • Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.

  • Pricing may be hourly or flat-rate depending on the service, which will be clearly outlined in your estimate.

  • Emergency and after-hours services may include additional fees, disclosed upfront.

  • Pricing generally includes labor, materials, and disposal costs unless specifically noted otherwise.

Scheduling, Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Appointments are scheduled within arrival windows (e.g., 8–10 AM).

  • You’ll receive a reminder call or text the day before your appointment.

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a $95 fee.

  • No-shows or locked-out jobs may also incur a fee.

Payment Policy

  • Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise arranged.

  • We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.

  • Projects over $1,000 may require a 25–50% deposit before starting and are non-refundable.

  • Late payments may incur fees if invoices remain unpaid after 14 days.

  • Returned checks result in a $35 NSF fee.

Warranty

  • Labor carries a 90 day workmanship warranty unless stated otherwise.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to parts and vary by product.

  • Warranty excludes misuse, customer damage, pre-existing plumbing issues, or DIY/third-party alterations.

  • We must be allowed to inspect and address warranty issues promptly.

Refunds & Dispute Resolution

  • Refunds are not offered for completed labor unless proven defective and unfixable.

  • Written complaints must be submitted within 5 business days.

  • We investigate and may offer rework, replacement, or partial refunds.​​

Online Reviews & Photos

  • With your permission, we may photograph completed jobs to showcase our work on our website and social media.

  • Personal details are never shared without your explicit approval.

  • We welcome honest reviews and respond professionally to all feedback.
